W15: Unlocking AWS A2.4: Welding Symbols and Applications
The aim of this seminar is to offer a comprehensive understanding of AWS welding symbols, highlighting their correct and incorrect applications. Geared towards individuals at all stages of the welding symbol process, from designers implementing them on drawings to welders deciphering the designer's intentions (even if they differ from the symbol), and welding inspectors tasked with ensuring the final weld aligns with symbol requirements. This session will also benefit new engineers lacking symbol experience, shop and field supervisors, as well as anyone involved in manufacturing and welding. Examples of commonly misunderstood welding symbols and real-life samples will be provided, along with explanations of new symbols and their various applications. Presented by Richard Campbell, co-author of the recent 12-part series on welding symbols featured in Inspection Trends and an AWS CWI instructor.
Attendees will receive copies of AWS A2.4:2020 and A3.0:2020.
