Modernizing the IT infrastructure, systems and software can be a massive project, especially if the organization has accumulated a fair amount of technical debt. The opportunities are enormous. Fabricators can better empower their people to become more productive, streamline processes, gain modern capabilities and make data-driven decisions. But the risks can also be significant, so it’s important to have a strong, well-considered strategy in place before embarking on a digital transformation journey. In this session, attendees will learn how to assess risk vs opportunity, and how to mitigate that risk, by ensuring that there’s a strong plan in place for each of four pillars of digital transformation: people, processes, systems and data. They will also learn the steps of any digital transformation project: vision, digitalization, and transformation and how to plan and execute at each stage to bring about a successful journey.
