Selecting the right protective coating helps products look better and last longer, improves application efficiencies and can lower operating costs. But what are the most important factors to determine the best-fit solutions for the application? This session will discuss the foundation of electrocoat, powder and liquid solutions, reviewing the pros and cons of each coating technology. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of which coating is best, based on performance needs, application ease, environmental considerations and cost.

Chris has over 40 years in coatings application, technical support and sales. He is an expert metal fabricator with extensive experience in the automotive, heavy equipment and class 8 transportation markets. Chris is proficient in manufacturing process improvements, NACE Level 3 CIP and currently National Business Development PPG Industrial Coatings.

Sarah is a Development Chemist at PPG Industries. In her 17 years with PPG, Sarah has worked with multiple technologies including liquid, powder, and electrocoat. In her current role within PPG Substrate Protection, she supports customer needs and process concerns, aides in troubleshooting tank maintenance and product issues, and assists with implementation of new product launches in the electrocoat industry.
