C61: Consistency Across Unconventional Substrates: Achieving Your Specification Goals

Optimizing Coating Uniformity: Advanced Analysis and Precision in Powder Application Processes
Coating thickness variability across substrates is a common challenge, with edges and corners often exhibiting higher thickness levels compared to flat surfaces. Additionally, discrepancies in thickness can frequently arise at the junctures of spray paths from multiple spray guns, attributed to suboptimal process settings. Various powders yield distinct spray patterns, reflecting the way the powder disperses across the spray cone. However, adjustments to process settings to accommodate these variations are seldom made. Misalignment of reciprocator settings with the specific powder in use can result in improper overlap of spray patterns, causing noticeable stripes due to either excessive or insufficient coverage. Learn about the innovative technology designed for the precise analysis of spray patterns across different powders, facilitating the fine-tuning of process parameters. This adjustment enables a markedly enhanced uniformity in powder application across substrates, leading to significant improvements in process stability and efficiency. The outcome is a substantial decrease in product rejects and powder material savings, underscoring the technology's capability to refine coating processes for optimal performance and resource utilization.
