Collaborative Robots (Cobots) market share in welding continues to expand at a high rate, mostly due to ease of use and simple operation. Teaching a Cobot through lead through method and programming from a tablet icon-based programming makes this the easiest robot to use. NEW laser software and hardware developments combine the high value and low operating cost of Cobots and Fiber Lasers, from handheld to multi-kilowatt laser processing machines. This presentation will cover Cobots in robotic laser automation with examples of use in job shops and high production environments.
