Understanding the fundamentals of AM, how do you shorten the learning curve for your applications. Because so many factors can impact AM processes, it is important for manufacturers to understand the specifics and priorities influencing production for their applications. This panel will help with defining what is necessary from analysis of requirements and optimum concept development, to ensuring smooth integration into the production environment. Currently the Past President and Director of the Additive Manufacturing Users Group and Past Chair of the ASTM F42 Committee on Standards for Additive Manufacturing and a Past Chairperson of the SME’s Rapid Technologies and Additive Manufacturing (RTAM) Community (formerly the RPA). He is also a proud recipient of the SLA “Dinosaur” award.
Melanie Lang

Melanie Lang, is the Co-Founder and CEO of FormAlloy. Melanie began her engineering career at Boeing and later spent 14 years at Lockheed Martin. She holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois and an M.S. in Systems Architecture & Engineering from the University of Southern California. Melanie currently serves on the Association of Manufacturing Technology (AMT) Board and America Makes Executive Committee.
