When it comes to quoting and estimating, what’s your game plan? Costing is a science; it accounts for all the many resources it takes for your shop to make a part. Pricing, on the other hand, is an art; it begs the question, “How much is my customer and the market willing to pay for this?” Too often, shops conflate costing and pricing and leave money on the table by not taking advantage of different pricing levers. In this session, we’ll cover the pricing “playbook,” filled with “Offensive” pricing strategies to help you earn additional revenue and beat out competitors and “Defensive” plays to avoid losing money, prevent you from wasting time and resources, or being vulnerable to costly risks.
