F56: Safe Efficient Bending: The Smart Light Curtains Solution

Smart light curtains are now reverting the trend back to safety by “safety distance” while allowing unrestricted operation on the brake, and the use of all types of tooling (staggered tools, hemming, radius, joggling, etc) without forcing the brake to slow speed anymore. More and more users worldwide are claiming back their rights to work without constantly having to adjust the safety devices according to the height of the tooling being used. Also, the latest advancements in press brakes with ATC (automatic Tool Changer) benefit from having the safety device moved out of the tooling area. These light curtains are also used to safeguard the crush zone against the ram, offering a complete and efficient protection of the whole press.
