In an ever-changing world of metals used in the roll forming process, new approaches to solve material related problems must be considered. This presentation reviews the engineering challenges and explores alternative methods for roll forming, punching, and cutting related to moder day materials. An emphasis is given on systems designed to produce parts with high accuracy at high speeds. Design of new production systems as well as improvements to existing systems will be covered.
