In their attempts to improve On-Time Delivery and Throughput, most manufacturers struggle with traditional Finite Capacity Scheduling. One of the main reasons is that the generated "schedule" does not reflect the order in which production will actually be prioritized and executed out on the shop floor. The purpose of this presentation is to educate the audience on how to create a Digital Twin of their production environment, and running a simulator to predict their future production reality based upon how they will actually execute and prioritize production out on the shop floor. The resulting Digital Twin can then be used to show future load vs capacity, bottlenecks, personnel requirements, material shortages and more. It can then also be used for "What-if" analysis showing what the net effect on ontime delivery and/or revenue generation will be based on capacity and/or load changes. Capable-To-Promise (CTP) is also more accurately calculated.
