IWT Stud Welding shatters the automation price barrier with its new off-the-shelf, turnkey robotic work cell. This is a plug-and-play solution where fabricators just simply add their own tooling to the included fixture plate.
The cell integrates seamlessly with IWT’s WeldFLEX line of components, including the UVF-2 SMART FEEDER, a robotic auto-feed weld head, and the LYNX Atlas capacitor discharge power supply. Driven by IWT’s proprietary WeldFLEX OS software with an intuitive HMI recipe screen, operators can easily save and recall X and Y coordinates. For the Z-axis, an intelligent "Stud On Work" sensor combines with an active force sensor to dynamically detect the welding surface and automatically adapt to varying part heights.
