Re-Certification

Keep the Credentials You’ve Earned

Keeping the credentials you worked hard for is just as important as earning them. The FABTECH Conference offers an array of sessions, seminars and workshops that may be eligible for PDH (Professional Development Hours) towards your re-certification needs.

Individuals who attend AWS education programs are awarded 1 PDH (Professional Development Hour) for each hour of education program attendance. Individuals who attend SME education programs may be eligible to receive 1 credit per hour attended toward their SME-managed recertification requirements.

SME

Certification programs from SME are the industry standard for assessing an acknowledging candidates’ professional knowledge, skills, competencies, and/or abilities. Our certification programs are led by professionals within the manufacturing industry who guide the development and continuous improvement of the bodies of knowledge and competency models upon which the certifications are based.

FMA (Fabricators and Manufacturers Association)

FMA has assembled some of the metal fabricating industry’s best experts in today’s essential metal manufacturing technologies to develop curriculum and criteria to verify and validate critical skills. FMA’s certificate programs can help employers and employees verify skills developed through training and validate skills and knowledge learned through on-the-job experience.

AWS (American Welding Society)

One of the best ways to advance your welding career is by earning a specialized certification. This opens up opportunities for more money, leadership roles and higher-level career challenges. AWS offers nine different certification categories, from inspectors, supervisors and educators to radiographic interpreters, welding engineers and fabricators.
