The manufacturing and fabrication industries, like many in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), have long faced a gender imbalance. Women currently make up only about 26% of the STEM workforce, a figure that has seen little movement over the past 25 years.
Recognizing this gap, FABTECH launched the Women of FABTECH program over a decade ago. Its mission: to elevate and empower women in manufacturing, fabrication, and engineering. Through impactful programming and community-building, Women of FABTECH celebrates industry leaders and fosters the next generation of female professionals.
What to Expect from Women of FABTECH at FABTECH 2025
This year’s program is set to be the most powerful yet. It kicks off with an inspiring keynote from Dr. Amber Selking, a performance consultant, leadership coach, and founder of the Selking Performance Group. Dr. Selking will speak on the power of mindset and how positive thinking influences leadership, career development, and resilience. Her session will equip attendees with strategies to sharpen focus, build confidence, and develop a “championship mindset”—both in the workplace and beyond.
Selking is also the author of Winning the Mental Game: The Playbook for Building Championship Mindsets and host of the Building Championship Mindsets podcast.
