Managing people is one of the most challenging and rewarding roles you can have. But, most managers have had little formal training for this critical role. Our teachers have been past managers or even our parents, yet these experiences typically leave us unprepared for our job. We do too much work that should be done by those who report to us. This session will share some proven techniques to help us be more effective delegators. In addition, we will address questions such as: Why do we hesitate to delegate? Why do we take on too much work ourselves? How can I find the time to train when it is faster and easier to do it myself?
