In today's rapidly evolving industrial landscape, developing a sustainable talent pipeline is critical for the future success of any sector. This presentation will explore the vital intersection between industry and education, highlighting best practices for fostering workforce development from an early stage. With children deciding as early as six years old things they cannot accomplish, by initiating workforce development earlier than traditionally expected, we can ignite interest and ensure a steady flow of skilled professionals. We will explore how to build strong networks to create an enduring workforce development strategy. Using CWB Foundation’s success cultivating multi-year partnerships with the Ontario nuclear sector, labor unions and secondary education, this session will guide attendees through interactive activities to: Determine their goals for their organization; Identify key stakeholders; and Develop a holistic and multi-pronged workforce development strategy that leverages partnerships with industry leaders, government, community groups and educational institutions.
