Safety Starts Before the Shift: How Workforce Stability Reduces Call-Offs, Errors, and Near-Misses

Basic 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm

In this session, I’ll share a practical leadership-and-culture approach to improving safety and reliability in high-pressure, hourly environments, drawing on a decade of community and workplace culture building. We’ll discuss how stress and basic-needs disruptions often show up at work as communication breakdowns, conflict, distraction, call-offs, and near-misses—and what supervisors can do that is supportive, consistent, and privacy-respecting. You’ll learn a simple set of leading indicators to watch, plus a supervisor-ready communication playbook and escalation framework that helps teams respond without overstepping privacy or turning managers into caseworkers. Attendees will leave with language they can use immediately and a clear, practical framework to strengthen attendance, retention, and safety culture.

Noise to Signals: What Your People Are Telling You Before Performance Slips

Advanced 1:45 pm - 2:30 pm

Performance issues rarely appear without warning. Long before results decline, teams send signals through trust, energy, and engagement. In today’s rapidly changing workplace, leaders must be able to read the employee experience in real time, not rely on lagging indicators or annual surveys. This session equips leaders with a practical Red/Yellow/Green framework to assess critical moments in the employee experience, identify early warning signs, and take timely, focused action. Participants will learn how leadership behavior, clarity of purpose, and performance expectations intersect—positioning experience as a strategic advantage rather than a soft metric.
